Importing ascii data resulted in recent data going missing

Postby jl12 » 25 Jan 2012

I imported 3 days ascii data into a contract in Quote Manager.

6th Jan to 09 Jan to fill missing data.

The data since 09 Jan has now been deleted.

Is there an explanation for this.

Hi,

We have several questions that could help us understand the nature of your issue.

1. What is the name of the instrument that was used? On what resolution was the issue reproduced? What field ( trade, bid, ask) was used?

2. What data range did you have before the ASCII import? For example, a minute data from 03.07.2007 to 01.26.2012.

3. Please dascribe in a step-by-step way how you imported ASCII file. It would be very helpful if you could also send us the screenshot of this procedure.

For the investigation on our end we need to have the ASCII file that you have imported and the Databases.

To find the Database please go to the Windows Start button and then select Run or Search depending on the OS.

Enter for Windows 7 and Vista OS: %allusersprofile%\Application Data\TS Support\MultiCharts\
Enter for Windows XP OS: "%allusersprofile%\Application Data\TS Support\MultiCharts\"

There please send Databases folder to compressed zipped file.

All the information you can send to support@multicharts.com and we'll investigate it on our end.

Best Regards,
Katrin Yanenko
