Description

There is a need to be able to choose which data sheets are exported to excel.
A porfolio of 470 symbols takes about 2 hours to export because of all the calculations
need to do the "Correlation Analysis sheet" and others. In tradestation you can choose
what data you want exported to excel.

I just need the Performance Summary, Trade Analysis  and Equity Curve charts. All the
other things are not needed for preliminary research.

Also, It would be great if the settings info contained the inputs used for the signals and the money management rules.

I am running a MacPro using Bootcamp with Windows 7 (64bit) and MC (64 bit) with 8 Gigs of Ram.

Steps to reproduce this issue

Run a portfolio of 470 symbols over 14 years and save it to excel.

When the design for this is considered, please consider:
* allowing a 'text only' export of all data to CSV
* using a more efficient method of writing to excel (or to a CSV for text-only export). The current process is unbelivably slow considering all of the metrics have already been generated when the export is initiated. I can only guess that is because the current export routines are designed in a very inefficient way to allow the graphics to be exported into Excel. An export of a 3 - 5 MB CSV file (or an Excel file using a more efficient method of writing the file) should take seconds.
Also, agree the settings and inputs should absolutely be exported.

The "Agree Completely" comment was from me. (I didn't realize that I wasn't logged in.)

A configuration tab for performance summary under the settings are so we could select more or less would be very convenient.

In MultiCharts 9.1 we will add ability of skipping the export of "List of Trades" data for reducing the total export time.

No workarounds are required. In MultiCharts 9.1 you will be able to select which tabs to include in the export file. I.e. that will be possible to export "List of trades" only.
