Description

Hi Multicharts,

Setup:
Tradestation 9.5 with symbol $JNK.EU ... this symbol will have its first gap (data missing) starting with 03 / 09 / 2015 downto 12 / 12 / 2015.
Adding this symbol in Multicharts will produce a chart with data only from now downto 03 / 10 / 2015 ... failing to download any data older than 12 / 12 / 2015 ... this is not accurate neither can be considered <as design> ... it's just how the app should handle missing data. With proper missing data handling, Multicharts should be able to download ALL AVAILABLE data between intervals specified by the user, even if there is gaps in that interval.

Thanks

Sorry, but from your description it is not clear:

  1. What chart are you trying to plot in MultiCharts?
  2. What is the chart resolution in MultiCharts?
  3. What is the data range of the chart in MultiCharts? Is it From ... To or Bars/Days Back?
  4. What is the date of the first bar of your MC chart? And what is the last?
  5. Where do you have gap exactly?
  6. What data do you have in TS?

45 minute chart

1.1.2010 - now, set From - To

this symbol will have its first gap (data missing) starting with 03 / 09 / 2015 downto 12 / 12 / 2015.
# What data do you have in TS?
Tradestation has the same data gap: 03 / 09 / 2015 downto 12 / 12 / 2015

Problem is: 1) TradeStation has data prior to /03 /09 /2015. 2) Multicharts won't show it because of the gap.

Easy to reproduce.

There were multiple changes made either in TS, or in the latest version of MultiCharts in regards to TS connection. Please upgrade to the latest versions of both applications and let us know if the issue is still reproduced.
