Description

IN MultiCharts .NET64 QuoteManager > Instrument > Add Symbol > From Data Source > TradeStation... > Stock tab it would be immensely helpful if it noted:
Type * to show all symbols

and it works, just like it does with IQFeed.

Presently, for TradeStation when one puts in the Symbol box an asterisk and click the Lookup button it notes:
No matches found.

However, if one types an alphabetic character, then clicks Lookup, it does show some symbols. Hence, someone who wants to import all active symbols for Country: United States, they have to type one character of the alphabet, click Lookup, highlight all the symbols, Add, and repeat sequentially through the alphabet.

This is a tremendous waste of user time, as symbols are going to repeat themselves as they go through the alphabet, which takes a long time to populate, and in turn, add.

This is TS API limitation and such functionality cannot be implemented.

Alex, could you please advise which API precisely? Are you referring to WebAPI, FIX API, etc.?

API, used to connect TS as data feed in MultiCharts. It is not publicly available and we do not provide details for users in regards to it.
