Description

This is a huge issue. Multicharts is named for that probably for the reason that we can open multi - charts (more than a single chart), and have all our signals/strategies working normally. But this is not the case. When I open 10 charts that are loaded with data, and enable trading on them, the ticker price on the charts starts to freeze for 30 seconds at times. This will ruin trading since it will cause delays in our trading, so this issue is a primary issue that has to be fixed in Multicharts and I think its of utmost priority.

Steps to reproduce this issue

Open 10 or more charts and load data into them, then enable automated trading (paper trading) on them, and at times, the price on the chart freezes for 30 seconds or more, and the time stamp on the chart changes in 30 seconds or more intervals.

Hello,

If you open an ASCII chart that has a large number of bars, the real-time data on other charts can start lagging behind or stop during the process of backfilling of this first chart. The issue is reproduced on your setup when you use 10 Tick Flex-Renko charts with years of data, the disabled "Break on Session" option, and pulling data from ASCII at the same time - this is considered to be a high load on the charting engine and plotting streams.

The immediate workaround is to enable the option "Break on Session", decrease the data range of charts or the number of indicators applied to them.

The issue is not reproduced when auto trading on 10 regular tick charts.

We have been working on your request since the first time you reported it by email, and we plan to introduce the improvement for this behavior in the future versions of MultiCharts so that you could operate the chosen setup with more ease.
