Description

There seems to be a bug with the Format Instruments dialog box in MC 7 Beta 2.  If I am in a chart window and open the "Format Instruments" dialog box, it will indicate the current symbol for the chart I'm viewing.  However, if I switch to another tab within the Format Instruments dialog box, the symbol will revert to the first symbol in the list (e.g., "A" for Agilent).  The chart window then displays the chart for that instrument, rather than the original instrument.

Steps to reproduce this issue
  1. Open MultiCharts with a an existing chart window active.  E.g., a chart for CELG.  The chart will be displayed for that symbol.
    2.  Open the Format Instruments dialog box.  The Format Instruments box will show all available symbols.  The active symbol (e.g., CELG) will be displayed in the "Instrument" dropdown.  However, the "All Instruments" list will show all instruments, and the first instrument on that list (e.g., Agilent) will be highlighed.
    3.  Switch to another tab in the Format Instruments box.  E.g., settings.
    4.  Select "OK" to close out of the Format Instruments dialog box.
    5.  The chart will be reset to the first symbol highlighted in step 2 -- e.g., Agilent.

Despite numerous attempts, we could not reproduce the problem by following your instructions. Everything is working fine. Could you check if the problem persists on the latest build of MultiCharts, and if it does, could you come to our Live Chat and show us the issue?
