Description

This link has the original request. I am thinking now that the option should be tied directly to the study itself and would be stored as an actual default. However maybe this would be a lot harder to do.

Again, it should be an option for more advanced users who use binary searches etc to search back. I have learned from experience to adjust my searches to the MaxBarsBack setting as a result of this weakness. However I have a script how that I can insert that will detect when MC does the automatic adjustment of the MaxBarsBack setting.

Steps to reproduce this issue

To Reproduce it, inseart a function that searches back to a bar farther back than the MaxBarsBack setting of the study. It will cause the CurrentBar=1 code to be redone. This can cause GV initalization value problems etc.
