Description

I am (maybe 15 times a day) accidently double clicking the chart background and getting that window up that says "Format Window". Next I have to close it down and this window often comes up fairly slowly too boot. So it would be great to have an option to shut it off since I never go into that window for updates this way anyway (I always use the right click menu then select the one I want).
The reason it comes up 15 to 20 times a day is I frequently move arrows to mark waves and I also highlight arrows and text using the MS GetActive comamds for interactive input. So in this process I either miss the object and double click or I go back to remove the highlight by clicking the chart background and get a bit of bounce in the mouse button and double click instead of single clicking. Again the opening of this windlow format menu seems to lock up MC and it comes up very slowly (5 seconds to 10 seconds lost at about 15 to 20 times a day).
If this is put in, it is a great example of an option that would be best put into some sort of options list that the user can reset if they want (also a list they can search too). I created another request for that.

Steps to reproduce this issue

Double click on the screen background with the left mouse button.

This problem has not reduced in annoyance (accidental double clicks are built right into the hand and fingers and the mouse settings maybe). Anyway, there is a variation on this problem that is equally problematic. If we accidentally double click directly on an arrow when all we want to do is move the arrow it will pull up an unwanted menu. I rarely want ths and I will right click if I want to do an update (just as easy to do).
. .
However as I always harp on, if this change is made it should be an option to switch off these double click updates and the default should be to leave the program as it is right now. Notifying us via this bug tracker or other means should be fine.
. .
On the positive side, I have botten very good at sending my left hand out with lightning speed and accuracy to hit the ESC button to get rid of these unwanted menus that show up at least 15 to 50 times daily - LOL.
