Description

I upgraded to MC7 final today. Within about 30 minutes of upgrading, the problem manifested itself. I hadn't even touched my charts in about 20 minutes, I wasn't even focused on any MC windows and was working on other monitors when it crashed.
I also had just rebooted prior to launching MultiCharts 7. I had no other trading platform loaded. MC was the first and only to launch IQfeed client.
My workspace has not changed from what I sent you previously to my knowledge. I can't seem to attach files here anymore, maybe because the issue is closed.

I've got 20 charts open or so, the exact same workspace I've had for over a year with MC 6. Never, ever a single problem until using MC 7 beta 3.
Now with MC 7 beta 3, I routinely get DTN IQfeed error popups "Out of memory". That is the entire error message pop up. Using 4.7.2.0. The error never used to occur, and I've never seen this error on other charting platforms I use.
I have to close MC and manually kill IQfeed client in order to stop the pop up errors.

Steps to reproduce this issue

Use IQfeed with 20 or more tick based charts with 14 days of lookback or more each.

Could you attach couple of creenshots with the process loading, symbols? Am i correct that this problem has never occured before in beta 1 or 2? What about MultiCharts 6?

Will have to wait for it to crash again, which it seems to do every couple of days if I leave it open. Yes, did not happen with MC6 or MC7 beta 1 or 2. Beta 1 for sure. Beta 2 I only ran for a few days so can't say with as much certainty.
The entire error (screenshot) would look like this: Small popup box, titlebar = "DTNIQfeedCOM" text in box = "Out of memory", only button "OK". Pressing the button results in more errors. Never stops.

Mike,
We are testing this situation with the workspaces that you sent us. We are getting mixed results. We will continue testing.

I'll also add that after shutting down MultiCharts and reloading, I got the standard "the application did not shut down correctly - reload data" box. So this way you'll know if you were able to reproduce or not.

Ctrlbrk, have you checked the DTN IQFeed log in Documents\DTN for error messages? I have a similar issue. With mine the log size is growing very fast. It starts a couple of minutes after connecting with MC. If the IQFeed log is more than a couple of megabytes in size you can just delete the file and a new will be generated at once. Otherwise with a large log file it will take some time before it will be opened. You can then open it to see if there is error messages. With mine it is error # 10035.
It would be interesting to know so that I now know that the source of the error has been located.

I crash when closing a workspace, any work space, after collecting data for several hours.
Using DTN IQ feed FXCM symbols only.
