Description

Generally It needs a few speeds not available because it is either too fast or too slow.
In addition off to the right it needs to show the selected speed at all times rather than the user only seing the speed when they depress on the slider.
Lastly there should be a button to move the speed down 1 unit and a button to move the speed up 1 unit (the slider is a bit combersome for such fine adjustments).
These buttons of course should be on the ends of the slider.
Someone else requested the space bar be a shortcut key for pause. I think this is a good idea.
Below are the speeds that are missing (shown in context with that which is there properly.
These should be accurate.
1 update every 5 seconds 
1 update every 1 second (should be 4 seconds) 
1 update every 1 second (should be 3 seconds) 
1 update every 1 second (should be 2 seconds) 
1 update every 1 second 
1 update every 1 second (duplicated the one above it) 
2 updates every 1 second

Steps to reproduce this issue

Just run it and check everything I mention in the issue description.

This is part bug, part feature request. The second part is a bug:
1 update every 5 seconds 
1 update every 1 second (should be 4 seconds) 
1 update every 1 second (should be 3 seconds) 
1 update every 1 second (should be 2 seconds) 
1 update every 1 second 
1 update every 1 second (duplicated the one above it) 
2 updates every 1 

The whole issue has been changed to feature request because the bulk of the issue is a feature request.
