Market Data Sim is a built-in data source that allows downloading historical level 1 and level 2 data from our servers for simulated trading.
The data source is pre-setup, no need for manual configuration.

Data availability
Market Data Sim provides access to Futures, Crypto, Stock, Forex and Index instruments: several months of minute and one week of tick Level 1 and Level 2 data.
Using Market Data Sim
Creating charts
Market Data Sim can be used to create charts as usual: File → New → Chart Window → select Market Data Sim on the Instrument tab of the Format Instrument window → select any instrument from the list.
Downloading Level 2 data
To download Level 2 data
- Go to Format → Simulated Trading → Collect Data → Sample Data tab.
- Check symbols to download data for and click Start.
Data downloading will begin after you click Start and will stop after all the available data is downloaded. If needed, manage it in the Data Downloading Progress menu. - After the data is downloaded, the Data Loaded message will appear. Click it to open up a workspace with the downloaded sample data.
