This tool is necessary to review and edit data. It helps quickly find and correct the bad ticks as well as add or delete new data.

In the Edit Data menu you can view and adjust data stored in your database.

To open the Edit Data menu:

  • Click the Edit Data button
  • Select a symbol and go to Edit → Edit Data
  • Right-click a symbol → Edit Data

Selecting Data to Display

You can switch between Level 1, Status Line and Level 2 tabs to display the corresponding type of stored data.

At the top of the window you can see the Data Range available in your database.
You can click the Use the Data Range for Start/End interval button to display and view it.

To display a specific time period, set Start and End dates manually.

On the Level 1 tab you can also choose the resolution (tick, minute, day) and quote field (Ask, Bid, Trade) to display.
The available options here will depend on types of data that you have in your database.

Adding New Data

Available for Level 1 data only

Click Add to add a new quote.
New quotes will be added to the end of the quote list.

Add adds a quote at the end of the quote list.
Insert – after the selected quote line.

Inserting New Data

Available for Level 1 data only

To insert a new quote:

  1. Select a line after which you'd like to place a new one.
  2. Click Insert.

Deleting Data

To delete quotes, select the necessary quote or quotes and click Delete.

Finding Data

To find the necessary quote or quotes:

  1. Click Find… to open the Find and Goto window.
  2. Go to the Find tab.
  3. On the Find tab set
    • Parameter to base the search on (Price, Volume)
    • Condition of the search (between, equals to, less/greater than, etc.)
    • Values to search for
  4. To search quote by quote, click Find. The Find will change into Find Next.
  5. To mark all the quotes corresponding to the selected conditions, press the Mark All button.
  6. Click Close to close the Find and Goto window.

Going to Data

To go to the necessary quote:

  1. Click Find… to open the Find and Goto window.
  2. Go to the GoTo tab.
  3. On the GoTo tab
    • Set Line or DateTime to go to
    • Enter the Line number or date and time
  4. Click GoTo to go to the necessary quote.
  5. Click Close to close the Find and Goto window.

Selecting All Quotes

Click Select All to select all the quotes.
It is a useful option when all the quotes should be deleted.

Copying Data

Select the necessary quotes and click Copy to copy the data to the clipboard.
