Re: MC 7.4 - IQFeed - Win 7 64 - Price bars freeze randomly.

Unfortunately, I just received the same price freeze problem today on 6E during a high period of volatility. No freezes since my last post above. I was running Quotetracker but using a different data provider for T&S (IB). Virtual size stats: tsserver.exe 322.6MB Multicharts.exe 512MB Multicharts.ex...

Re: MC 7.4 - IQFeed - Win 7 64 - Price bars freeze randomly.

Thank you Henry for quick response. I updated the tsIQ dll as you supplied. Within 30mins of usage, I had a complete price update freeze of all charts simultaneously (ES, 6E, ZN). Time and sales/data influx volatility was not especially high (lunch US session). I have never had all charts freeze at ...

MC 7.4 - IQFeed - Win 7 64 - Price bars freeze randomly...

MC 7.4 Final 32-bit Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit IQFeed 4.8.1.2 (32-bit app) High end system (Intel 3930k/16GB ram/Intel 520 SSD etc) Every so often (1-10x a month), price bars will freeze in MC. It will completely stop updating new prices and the chart is frozen. For ex, if I am watching three individu...

Re: MultiCharts 7.2 Beta

do you mean a Time & Sales ? Hi TJ. Yes! Recommend using Quotetracker T&S strip. It is least resource demanding application I have come across, it is rather customizable, and very quick/clean/easy to read during periods of high volatility. With use of IQFeed, it is also split sec faster than Multic...

Are you going custom build or prebuilt/retail route? If custom and are looking for high performance to optimize/backtest: Also recommend i920 d0 stepping. Still one of the best bang for the buck processors currently on market. It is completely stable @ very high overclocks. Good pricing here: h**p:/...

The 2nd Hurst code I posted is work from Clyde Lee. He is considered by many an expert in this particular space. Recommend you examine his work. Another would be Brian Millard and his channel analysis techniques.

Best of luck.

Attached a Hurst Channel indicator as well. Not sure if either are what you are in search of. Good luck.

Have this in my library... Hurst Coefficient Inputs: Len(Numeric); Vars: Mean(0), j(0), k(1.253314), SumSqr(0), Scale(0), MaxY(0), MinY(0), Rng(0); Arrays: X[100](0), Y[100](0); Mean = Average(C, Len); SumSqr = 0; for j = 0 to Len - 1 begin X[j] = C[j] - Mean; SumSqr = SumSqr + X[j] * X[j]; end; Sca...

Dear customers, I appreciate all suggestions. I deleted a post about a pirate version as a good alternative because I consider it offensive to discuss such illegal alternatives on the developer’s home site. A "good alternative"? Wow, how completely disingenuous! So when someone makes an observation...

How about just changing the grace period to 2-3 hours. It will take no time to program. A better solution is to inform the operator that there is no contact with the authorization servers (after losing connection for >5 min) and that MC will stop real time operation in xx minutes. Exactly. Set the ...

One license... two computers - usage inquiry

Hi. Recently purchased Multicharts after a very pleasurable experience using the 30-day 5.5 Trial. Product has come a long way since my last demo of 2.x/3.x series. Need some clearing up. I run two workstations. WStation#1 for live trading/live feeds and WStation#2 for offline modeling/prototyping/o...
