Re: Memory Monitor MADNESS STOP IT!

Hi Mark, You can open another instance of Multicharts. I don't think recent builds are any different from older ones. The limit comes from Windows itself so there is probably little that can be done. I have run into this limitation many times. You can workaround most GDI issues by spreading heavy wo...

I would leave it on. There is a benefit in general. Perhaps not with Multicharts but overall. I am using the same CPU with Portfolio trader with second intervals and about 75 instruments. CPU utilization fluctuates between 6% and 12%. Was your last server also near NYC? Where are you connecting from?

Re: Running Multicharts from the "cloud"

With velia.net you can have them install a Windows 2012r2 instance which you can then control via a Remote Desktop Client. You can also can manage your server with KVM/IPMI which is very handy.

My ping time to gdc1.ibllc.com(IB US) is 96ms and 7ms to the IB European server.

Try this....

You should only need the x64 version of TWS of which there are two versions. One which updates automatically and one (stand alone) that has to be updated manually.

What is stopping you from installing Multicharts on your laptop? You could then use One Drive for templates. As long as you are not running instances at the same time on two different computers, you won't run into problems with the licensing server.

LMAX: Order Canceled: OUTSIDE_ALLOWED PRICE RANGE.....Why? [SOLVED]

I have been searching but I can't find the answer to this error. I have been running the same strategy on several LMAX currencies and CFD's last week without problems. What I mean by the same strategy is that my targets and stops come from the same code. Today I started to test the US Crude CFD and ...

Counting bars on charts for non time based charts. [SOLVED]

I have an exporter that works fine with regular bar charts. What I am trying to do is modify it to export range and point and figure charts (Highs and Lows) but rather than date/time I need to set an increment 0001,0002,0003 etc. from oldest to the current bar/column. I followed the instructions and the data has loaded for H1. I then added a daily chart as data 2 and you can clearly see missing days. One way or another, this should not happen.

I will take this to live chat later in the week when I have some time.
