Re: Windows Arrange All - Reordering Sequence [SOLVED]

Observation: 2. To arrange charts in "Arrange All" however you click the charts in the sequence you want to see and MC will arrange the charts top to bottom, left to right. MC arranges the charts top to bottom and doesn't move left to right until the left hand side column is full. However, this is ...

Re: Windows "Arrange all": What is the rule [SOLVED]

Point 2 can be the main problem, because once I set the desired order of charts manually. And the charts are not aligning anymore (space between them). There is no good way to repair the aligning with the current "arrange vertically" or "arrange horizontally". Because this will arrange the order of...

Re: Windows "Arrange all": What is the rule [SOLVED]

To elaborate on the topic: Does someone know how it works with "arrange horizontally" or "arrange vertically". I use version MC 9.0 and I never could get above to arrange my charts the way I want. The charts are vertically arranged next to each other. So I can not use "arrange all". For example, ev...

Re: Any good forums to ask about root kits.

Well I was able to use diskwipe to zero fill the D drive. However when I put XP on the D drive and then try to zero fill the C drive (even though I had windows during the install remove the C partition, put it back on as raw and format the C drive successfully). What happens after having done this ...

Re: Any good forums to ask about root kits.

So from what you are saying I have to do this: 1/ format again and install AVG from a fresh download for a fresh test to see if it says there is a root kit on this test machine. 2/ format once again but this time zero fill and again download AVG and test to see if it says there is a root kit on thi...

Re: Any good forums to ask about root kits.

The current new anti-virus software and the special root-kit software run clean (no root kit or other problems reported). The other machines are clean according to the prior version of AVG (it is 2012 AVG that seems to likely have a few problems). The new software has a higher find rating than AVG ...

Re: Any good forums to ask about root kits.

Stan, Judging by the amount of times you've reformatted your drive in an attempt to resolve this problem, I presume you have a backup that you know to be 'clean' and root-kit/virus free from which to restore. Removing root-kits can be a frustrating task but if you have a clean backup, then there is ...

Re: Using Ghost backups/returns to keep MC running fast.

I find people seriously underestimate the amount of savings one gets when one uses this method. You still have to document the full reinstall approach because it will be required every so often. I think the decision should be "if you have a full weekend for reinstall then reinstall using a well doc...

Re: Using Ghost backups/returns to keep MC running fast.

I am not sure how software could ruin a hard drive. You're right. It can't. 'Ruin' as in: physical damage preventing even a reformat? No, that's (almost) impossible. Given the number of hard drives in existence, the statistical likelihood of someone, somewhere going through two hard drives in a yea...

Re: Using Ghost backups/returns to keep MC running fast.

I don't know if I've fully understood what you're asking for but it sounds like you're just looking for BackUp/Restore software recommendations. Your list of requirements is for something that is (relatively) fast, where the backup can be stored on an external USB drive and which can restore to a ne...

Re: MC unable to connect to the Digital Rights Management Sy

Just to be safe, all people with problems please provide your UserID, so we can check the connection logs. Also, the main server was down, but the two backup ones (to which requests get re-routed automatically) were fine. The main server is mcauth.com, and backup ones are mcauth1.com and mcauth2.co...

I am currently connected with no problem.
Thanks for letting me know TJ. I have rebooted and tried again on another machine but I still can't connect to the DRM. Any ideas?

MC unable to connect to the Digital Rights Management System

I am receiving this error again that the connection to the Digital Rights Management System cannot be established. I thought that this error hade been rendered redundant.

If it's just my system, please advise.

Re: MC 7 Beta - Questions/Issues

I have installed MC7 Beta1 and connected to Interactive Brokers Demo system. When I start the DOM, the following two things are happening: 1. The DOM lags Booktrader by approx half a second. 2. When I try to place a trade using the DOM, I can see the order momentarily but it instantly disappears. Cu...

Re: DAx futures with Interactive Br4okers

Assuming you have subscribed to DTB Eurex data (if not, you will be unable to recieve any data for Eurex Futures)

1. Add 'Dax' Mar11 Futures to TWS
2. Add the contract to Quote Manager and select 'Connect'.

You should then be able to open a new chart in MC and select Dax from the Instrument list.

Will you only ever use 3 variables or is that just an example and might you actually use many more?

Do the three variables have values that remain static throughout the session (e.g. Floor Traders' Pivots Points) or do their values change on each bar (e.g. Moving Averages)?

Hello marmun,

I could recommend going to microsoft website and updating the settings for daylight saving time plans. When Windows gets the necessary updates for time settings the problem with bars being an hour behind should be solved.

Regards.
Thank you - that fixed the problem.

CME timestamps

I am currently in Europe and the clocks went back 1 hour on Sunday. Since then, the timestamps on CME products in M/C and the Quote Manager are 1 hour behind what they should be. I have an Interactive Broker Feed and the timestamps of the data from them is OK. I have checked the Exchange setting for...

Yes - I am also able to import my studies from TS2K as well as the other things you mentioned - but my question was about 'compiling' them or any new ones that I write - which I am unable to do.

Have you compiled any new Functions/Indicators OK?

Multicharts PLEditor with Win2k?

None of my existing TS2K indicators will compile and even simple new functions that I code will not compile. Support informs me that it is a Win2k issue because the pathname returned to the Editor during compile contains spaces and is not shortened. Has anyone been able to compile anything when usin...
