Not MC fault.
b) change to IQfeed.
a) Use seconds instead of minutes. (ie: 180 seconds instead of 3 minutes)eSignal does not provide UpTicks and DownTicks data for minutes, only for tick data. All volume is displayed as UpTicks for minute data.

Did you read TJ's post?
You are just comparing today with yesterday 20 times per bar.
You need to re-visit the line:
"If c > c[1] then mysum = 1 + mysum[1];" and think about adding something more definitive to it. Think about it and it will come to you.

Hi Andrew, I don't know if you still need this info, but: Started up MC this morning (16Mar09 0714 PDT) and was shown screen (DRM-1.jpg) saying that I would not receive real-time data. I clicked "ok" and MC continued to load. I noticed that, sure enough, it was "not authorized" (DRM-2). However, it ...

For example, lets say I have as one of my indicators in subchart #1, a volume countdown, that is basically a text counter nearby the currentbar. It, for some unknown reason is in the #1 position when right clicking on the pricescale. Snap mode is turned off. Now, let's say I choose an "up arrow" an...

Hi Andrew, I actually like the way you had it before. It makes more sense to go to multiples of the minmove/pricescale (.25 for ES). Why would anyone want random numbers in the pricescale? (rhetorical). Right now, I just leave it alone because MC does a better job of adjusting the pricescale than do...

Hi Andrew, In the past, I have seen people post their logs and it seemed there were many more files than I can find. I searched for "*.log", "*.txt", "log" and could only come up with one file for MC located at: C:\Documents and Settings\bobperry\Local Settings\Temp\TS Support\Logs\TSSupplier\eSigna...

the is NO PROBLEM even if the trendline is anchored to the moving average. But, it is a problem. Especially if it is anchored to the wrong moving average. So long as the moving average is set to: "Format Study>Scaling>Scale Range>Same As Symbol". This is always the case. before you click on the pri...

RobotMan Rant - "Layers" keep changing order
Version 5.0 Beta 4 (Build 2106) If you have ever tried to set a default trendline to anchor on the "close" and then try to apply it to a chart and find that it attaches to a moving average or goes completely out of sight, and no matter what you do, you can't get it to attach to anything else, then y...

Hi John, MultiCharts, has the best charting ability that I have found. I can write (in PowerLanguage) just about any indicator and have it update in real time and have just about any type of barchart update in real-time. I like it and I like the direction that TSS is going. However, I am not the dem...

I too, am annoyed when trying to select text in PLE. I wish that when I "mouse cursor" select text that the selection would not jump to where PLE "thinks" the selection should start or end. Another thing that is annoying is when double clicking on variables with underscores or periods in the variabl...

Hi Marina, This is really great to hear! Ever since my TS days, I try and set any indicators to not "update every tick" because of the unnecessary load on the cpu, but I did not know there was a graphics problem with redraws (probably because I use so few indicators). In spite of my occasional sarca...

Hi Marina, I was messing around in QM and found that I can edit, add, and delete custom templates here: Tools>Session Templates I created a new one and applied it to a symbol and it works! Hi brendanh, A technique that I learned from Jimmy Snowden of the "Omega List" (He was an expert with TS2000i and uses MC now and might even be in this forum), is to save workspaces by name and date, then if you screw something up, just re-open a backup. Also, You might try creating a template and e...

Thanks Marina, That seems to do the trick. To create the custom session, I basically had to start from scratch and work backwards from the right hand side to the left, or the lines would jump around and it was very confusing. I also learned that I can't start with Sunday. Is there a way to save my c...

I have not really been following this thread much, but I will add my 2 cents. If you have to create a text file that is later "found" by the program (not kept in it's own memory location except on disk file), it might be better to create a virtual drive (RAM drive) in regular memory (maybe using som...

I think the way it works now is very stable as compared to the old way dupl is describing. I remember this was a big issue about a year ago and I think TSS has pretty much (for most users) made this problem go away. The charts never "hang" ("waiting for data" forever) and I see much fewer red balloo...

Hi TJ, Yes, I have done that. My experience has been that MC loses track of where you set a default property in a Drawing Object. ie: Let's say you always want your TL drawn from close to close and so you set that as the default TL property. You have a few channels and MAs on your chart and sometime...
