Thanks for your reply, evdl. Much appreciated!
I think, as you do, this is related to MC and not the OS. I have checked most of the OS issues that could be causing a similar issue and they are all fine. And as mentioned in my original post, it only happens in the PLE, nowhere else.

Copy & Paste Issue in PL Editor - MC 8.8 Build 8967
After upgrading to MC 8.8 Build 8967 (x64), the copy and paste functions quit working in the PowerLanguage Editor after a while, for some reason. Sometimes it occurs in 10 minutes, sometimes it may last up to an hour. When this occurs, the keystrokes Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V are inoperable. The right-click d...

Re: MULTICHARTS 8.8 RELEASE
I agree with tortoise, that something has changed with the new release of MC 8.8, Build 8593 (64-bit), in that things just seem to be running slower. Workspaces do not load nearly as fast as they did under MC 8.8 Build 8363 (64-bit). Also, when running an optimization under MC 8.8, Build 8593, the o...

Re: Starting Date of Data Range Loaded on a Workspace
Or do you mean you need to get the value that has been specified in Format->Instrument->Settings->Data Range? Hi Henry, Yes, that is exactly what we are seeking access to, the starting date of the data range specified on the workspace in the Format-->Instrument-->Settings-->Data Range-->From Date i...

Starting Date of Data Range Loaded on a Workspace
Is there any way in which we have access to the Starting Date (or Starting DateTIme stamp) of the Data Range that is loaded on a workspace, inside of a PowerLanguage Indicator and/or Signal/Strategy? We find that we can get access to the DateTime stamp of the left most bar displayed on the chart, us...

UserName and UserID Passed on Evaluation Copy of MultiCharts
Anyone know what is passed in an Indicator/Signal when the GetUserName and GetUserID commands are issued when running on an "Evaluation Copy" (30 Day Trial) of MultiCharts? At least for the User Name it appears not to use the "Licensed to:" name displayed as "(Evaluation Copy)" [the name that is dis...

Programatically Determine if Local or Exchange Time Zone
In PowerLanguage, can we programmatically determine if an instrument in a workspace has the Display: Time Zone setting set to either Local or Exchange?
If so, how?

Re: Questions: Transparent Text & Obtaining Ranges on Subcha
Thanks TJ and escamillo for your quick replies. For question 1, I should have provided more explanation. Attached are three screenshots which depict the problem. When I display text on a chart, if the multiple text items are displayed on bars that are close to one another, the new text overlays the ...

Questions: Transparent Text & Obtaining Ranges on Subcharts
A couple questions: 1. Do I have any control over the transparency of text plotted within PowerLanguage? I can make the text NOT transparent manually in the Format Text Window be unselecting the Transparent Effect checkbox. I could not find a PowerLanguage command to turn off the Text Transparency p...

File: "C:\multicharts\NewStudy.sef" Study:"(Function)" Error Code: 1 This set of studies imports fine, without errors on all but one syste...

Indicator Plotting Differently With Using RT Vs. Hist Data
I have a simple indicator, applied to a Contract Bar Chart in MultiCharts (Version 6.0, Beta 3, Build 3276) with two Data Sets (DATA1 and DATA2). The "Update on every tick" selection is not checked and the indicator does not use IntraBarPersist. The indicator only needs to fire off, have the variabl...

User Functions, Indicators and Studies Will Not Compile
I installed Beta 3 on two of my systems. Both are running XP Pro x32. One of the systems works perfectly and I can recompile all user built functions, indicators and studies. On the first system, all of them recompile perfectly, and I can use every one of them. The EXACT same functions, indicators a...

Hi, Max: "Trigger" is defined as a numeric variable, not a condition. In a logical statement (IF .... THEN ...), you need to compare something with something else in order to have the Buy take place as coded. In Januson's example that he provided, it was assumed that you wanted to buy (go long) when...

Lines Per Page Setting on PL Printing
When printing out a PL Indicator/Study/Function in the PL Editor, it cuts off the last line of the listing, as that line falls below the maximum margin for my printer, or it simply prints more lines per page than what my printer can print. How do I modify the number of lines that the Print command p...
