Unfortunately it is not easy from technical point of view. It doesn't give you significant advantage, but creates lots of problems for us to embed it.
So we decided to leave QM outside new GUI.
Sorry, but it will not be changed in the foreseeable future since we have more important things to do.

We don't support AskSize/Bidsize keywords yet. I believe you can achive the same if you replace AskSize with ticks of Data2 and BidSize of Data3. You will need to insert data 2 and data 3 data streams in the chart and specify type of field.

Did you watch your CPU load? I think your SPR tick by tick recalculation consumed all available PC resources. Please turn off it in SPR settings. The next version of MC will have tick by tick recalculation off, because I encountered the same problem.

What does make you think it is incorrect? I think the volume bar size is too large so it couldn't be archived during a single session, but we reset volume count each new trading session. This is why the bars are different and size is less than requested. We haven’t change it in MC 3.0

It is a known issue. You should Add the symbol from Data Source. It will modify your existing symbol's description and it allows us to know that it is expired symbol. So simply do it, close and re-request a chart.

The only way to minimize the cache database is to delete it and let the installer to set it up. As you probably know the database couldn't be reduced without defragmentation. Since we don't have such a tool even if you delete cache, the database will not be decreased.

I don't think OT can replace eSignal. It is completely different levels of speed, reliability and data quality. I would consider IQFeed if you want to leave eSignal, but I’m still thinking that eSignal is the best.

You shouldn't expect to have the same results on history and real-time, because strategy uses OHLC only. The results would be the same if we support something similar to look-inside-bar where all ticks are downloaded for precision backtesting.

The reload option is stored in our to-do list and we will definitely do it.
The same is true for continuous contracts.
However reload is a walk-around solution and we would want to fix the data hold problem. If somebody knows how to reproduce it let me know please.

It is IB server restriction. It can process 60 requests for 10 minutes and then you should wait another 10 minutes to proceed. It is a normal situation if you open lots of charts or/and bars back.

Jerry is right. Lots of indicators will not be "normalized" even if you have enough bars. So you need to have days or maybe weeks of data. It depends on indicator. So It is safer to calculate studies on data loading complete.

Your understanding of IOG is correct and it should work in backtesting mode as you explained. However we haven't implemented it yet. IOB works properly in real-time, but doesn’t work properly on history.

BTW,
The latest Beta version has PowerLanguage Function reference (See help or PowerLanguage Editor). So you can always see what is supported and what is not there. We will add environment information (ai fucntions) in Beta 2. So EL-compatibility is pretty high now!

MC IOG works properly. You simply should select "Allow unlimited entries and exits per bar". By default each signal can generate only once entry per bar.

That's correct. If you use several instances of MultiCharts, global cursor will not work as it should. If you use detached windows you can see only once workspace at time. We will fix the problem later.
