Hi, I've been reading the section on
"Understanding Automated Trade Execution"
It states that a benefit of AA mode is that unexecuted orders can be converted to market orders to help ensure a fill in an effort to replicate chart fills similar to those on the chart.
Can you not do this with SA mode?

Hello wilkinsw,
Converting undexecuted orders to market orders works in both SA and AA modes.

Thanks for your reply.
In SA mode how is an unfilled/unexecuted order defined?
I understand that in AA mode if the chart says filled but isn't at the broker then the the strategy can convert the unexecuted order to a market order after x seconds.
However in SA mode the chart won't say filled until the broker says filled. So what would trigger it to convert the unexecuted order into a market order?
Thanks.

Unfilled Strategy Order Replacement
The option affects the conversion of price orders that were submitted at the broker but unexecuted until the bar close into market orders after certain timeout specified in seconds. The timer is launched depending on the option "Get realtime data from":
- broker (when the price at the broker touched the price order execution price)
- chart (when the price order is executed on the chart )
If the timer was started but the bar closed faster than timeout finished then price order is converted into market order.
