Just replaced my monitors with two 3840X2160 UHD displays for a total display area of 7680X2160 pixels. I spent hours setting up my windows in the ideal location, and carefully saved the layout as both a workspace and a desktop. When I reload either the workspace or desktop I find the windows are oversized and relocated; forcing the setup to be repeated from scratch, which takes hours. Please advise how I can save a workspace with this screen area. Would it help to realign the monitors vertically(?) ... if needed I would do it, but I would have to purchase a special stand.
Running 12.0 build 18184 on Windows 10, but experienced this problem with an earlier version of Multicharts as well, before upgrading.

I tested the vertical display configuration and it solves the problem, so this is no longer an urgent issue for me.

Hello, trader39!
We’ll investigate this on our end. I’ll post what we manage to find.

Trader39,
We attempted to reproduce the same on our end, but failed. Could you describe what needs to be done to replicate the issue? Please specify the steps in as many details as possible.

I have arranged the monitors vertically and it is not a problem then. To replicate the issue you need two UHD displays each with 3840 pixels x 2160 pixels. Then set them both up in landscape mode, side by side, so that the total desktop is 7680 pixels x 2160 pixels. With this configuration, multicharts is unable to correctly save window positions for when the workspace or desktop is reloaded. The same two monitors vertically presenting a 4320X3840 desktop saves correctly, and that is how I have addressed the problem for my own use.

trader39,
yes, this is exactly what we tested and what we couldn’t replicate. We're glad to know that you found a solution for yourself, but still we'd like to investigate this should there be other users experiencing this issue. If you can recall more details about the time when your monitors were arranged horizontally and the issue was reproducable, it would be good for analysis. Do you only reopen your workspaces? Or do you also restart MultiCharts/reboot your machine? Do you have any other programs running at the same time?
