Hi,
I need more info re how convert_currency works in realtime please.
It isn't doing what I'd expect.
I just created (today; Thurs 14/11/2019) an indicator, outputting convert_currency and applied it to live charts.
They show no changes in FX rates since Monday. Why is that??
That's using MCFX and I've run tests from two different online servers that show the same output.
Convert_currency not working in realtime?
Re: Convert_currency not working in realtime?
This morning one of my MC servers successfully updated the FX rates, for the first time this week.
On the second; the following errors were generated:
in QMD it appears there were no issues though:
Any users out there using the MCFX conversion rates successfully in realtime?

Re: Convert_currency not working in realtime?
Today (Sat 16/11/2019) I tried accessing the MCFX server and failed on 7 of 7 servers.
Timeout was set to max of 120s.
Would appreciate other users trying and reporting back.
Additionally, the timeout hijacks MC. If you set it to 120s, for example and then attempt to do anything (turn script off, close the chart, close MC) MC will hang as it waits for the 120s to pass first (in the event that it hasn't found FX data beforehand). I'm guessing that should be changed to that the user can logically interrupt the timeout if needed?

Re: Convert_currency not working in realtime?
William,
Our regular currency conversion server maintenance is done on Saturday when the market is closed around 1pm-4pm EST.
This Saturday we had an extended maintenance period, that is why you were unable to access the servers.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Just to update,
Now FX rates shows expected values for last week but this week again, they haven't updated yet. Rates for today (Tuesday) are the same as yesterday. That's when running a fresh re-calculation today.

Hello, William,
We suppose that the issue is connected with empty periods saved in the database.
Please come to our live chat MON-FRI from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM EST so that we can study this behavior remotely. Live Chat is accessible from our web site http://www.multicharts.com/ (at the top of the page).
We will continue to investigate the logs from the MCFX server after the weekend.Hi,
Had an optimisation terminate in the night due to a drop in connection to the MCFX server.
Is the MCFX server being looked at by MC?
Thanks,
Will

Re: Convert_currency not working in realtime?
Apologies for the recent MCFX server malfunction. Apparently we need to move it to a newer server to guarantee stable operation of the currency conversion functionality. But this cannot be done on a fly and the transition may also take a while.
Right now the server works fine.
We are sorry for this inconvenience and will do our best to resolve this issue in short terms.
