Hi,
if I use a chart based on tick bars I suppose the volume of the bar is the tick count.
100 ticks bar means a bar composed from 100 ticks so for me volume should be 100.
In format instruments I see "Build Volume on: Trade Volume".
And in that case you can have 100 ticks bars with volume > 100.
Is that correct?
Please could you explain me what is "Trade Volume " with tick bars?
Best regards.
Massimo

Each tick is a "trade".
A trade can be 500 shares, or 20 contracts . . .

Trade Volume is only Upvolume. not total volume. If you make your ticks small enough you can get bars with 0 volume.
This is something that has plagued me. Please look at the volume indicator code. This will illuminate some of the additional questions you need to ask. I have just defaulted to use Ticks instead of volume.
