Attached exit orders cancelled on disconnect or shutdown
Attached exit orders cancelled on disconnect or shutdown
I noticed that exit orders which have been attached to entry orders via Chart Trader are cancelled when the broker profile is manually disconnected or when MC is shut down. But when only the internet connection is interrupted, attached exit orders remain active. This behavior persists regardless of OCO Group settings or Exit Strategies Mode. I am not sure if this is expected behavior. The broker is IB.

Re: Attached exit orders cancelled on disconnect or shutdown
Hello seneca,
Yes, this is expected behavior.
At the close of MultiCharts or when the broker profile is manually disconnected, the exit orders attached to an entry are canceled because the exit orders will not be able to be sent to a broker once the entry gets executed while the app is turned off or the broker profile is disconnected.
OCO-group orders are not canceled in that case because they are already placed at the broker and are not managed by MultiCharts.
When connection is interrupted, the attached exit orders remain active for the sake of convenience so that when the connection is restored there is no need to place them again.
