how to calculate the leverage used?
Say I have an account of $ 10,000 I take 2 standard lots which is the lever I use?
I take 2 mini lot what is the leverage used?
could you put the formula.

If you are short USDJPY,
AND
if your are long EURJPY.
Both times you dealt the Yen amount of 100mio.
1. Convert all CCY amounts (EUR, JPY) other than your base CCY (USD) into the base CCY at the current rate (spot or forward).
2. Do the netting (e.g. JPY nets out in my example).
3. The bigger absoulte amount is your position (here it is the EUR amount because you are USD based which is no risk for you and the JPY nets out).
We call this concept Net Open Position (NOP). It is an industry standard. If you devide the NOP by your capital you have the leverage.
