[SOLVED] Using snap mode turns drawing invisible

Postby Riembaus » 17 Nov 2022

Multicharts64 Version 14.0 Release (Build24200)
Intel Core i7-8705G 3.1 GHz, 4 core, 8 processors
16 GB ram
MS Windows 11 Pro

Hello

I had the problem for a long time, that whenever I tried drawing fib lines, trendlines, whatever, with snap mode turned on, nothing would appear. The cursor showed the name of the drawing I was doing, but nothing appeared. Turning off snap mode let me draw whatever I wanted, quite annoying when I want something to stick to a certain price.

I let it be as I couldn't be arsed to reinstall yet another time, and my strategies were working fine.

So last weekend I reset windows on my machine and reinstalled everything and thought to myself that everything would be great again (no pun intended). Alas no... Same problem.

Still unable to draw with snap mode activated :(

Sincerely

Could you join the live chat Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM till 12:00 PM ET to demonstrate it via remote connection?

Solution

I had an indicator which used it's own scaling, which differed from the instruments. Result was that drawing snapped way off screen.

To fix this I went to Format indicator --> Scaling ---> Same as instrument
