Installing update

Postby roesm » 13 Feb 2024

Win10 system - Trying to update from 14.0.25793.400

I get to the "Installer" dialog (see attached), click Installer and the dialog box goes away and nothing happens.

I've tried both the latest version 14 and the Beta version 15.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Mike

Hello Mike,

Please right-click the installer file → Properties → General tab.
Check the Unblock box to avoid your system blocking the installer.

If the box is not there, or if it doesn't help, please install the .NET Framework manually, see this guide.

ok - the "Unblock" box was not there, so I tried the .NET framework selection. The update still does not install. I also un-installed my existing Multicharts installation. Still no luck and now I have no Multicharts at all. Argh.

Are there particular parts of the .NET framework features I should enable? I selected them all (see attached), but no luck.

Thanks,
Mike

I uninstalled all versions of Visual C++ and then ran MultiCharts64OpenBeta.15.0.26024.700_x64.exe, which installs Visual C++ itself.

Back in business!
Mike
