Another beginner question

Postby Algyros » 30 Sep 2009

Thanks for the reply to my first question.

Here's #2:

When I create a chart, (for example, I'm now looking at a 15 minute SRS chart), no matter what setting I input in the Format Symbol, Date Range, box, the chart includes data for only about half a day.

How do I extend the chart?

Thanks,
Alex

who's your data provider?

check your File> Preferences> Data Server Mode

make sure it is Online and check the box at Download missing historical data

My data provider is IB.

I am online (I'm getting realtime price quotes) and the Download Missing Historical Data box is checked.

My chart still only begins at 13:00 yesterday.

I am using IB, and I have just called up 60 days of SRS 15 min chart with no problem.

What is your Data Range ?

That's the thing: it doesn't seem to matter what I do, nothing changes.

For example, right now, my data range is from 9/16/09 to 9/30/09. When I try changing the number of bars, the chart also remains the same.
