Buy without cover all Sell

Postby ppan » 16 Dec 2010

Is there a feature to buy a new contract without auto cover all the Sell position in MC 7.0?

Dear ppan,

Could you please be more precise? Are you talking about hedging? Hedging is not possible with auto trading in MultiCharts. However, in MC 7 you can send orders manually. So it does not matter what position you are in, you can still send any order manually.

Dear Dave,

Please refer prev post: viewtopic.php?t=5710&highlight=

If I have bought 10 contracts and I want to sell 1 contract each time, I have to write 10 line of "SELL" statement. However, If I have bought 10000 contracts and I want to sell 1 contract each time, I should also write 10000 line of "SELL" statement.

Is there any simpler method to solve this problem?

Dear ppan,

Unfortunately, there is no workaround at the moment. I have forwarded your feature request to the developers.

Dear Dave,

I just want MC has the 2 NT commands to solve the problem:
1. enterlong()
2. entershort()

Please forward my request to the developers.`

Thanks
