A lot has happened since this review was posted.. I won't update it quite yet, but there are changes to be made.

Hi 4trading :)

The only "scary" one is AMP because of the rate of their growth alone. Other than that, I don't see any issues with others.

The first issue I'd blame is the TS login prompt. Its buggy, slow, and disappears sometimes. Make sure you're logged in.

2nd, make sure both are run as admin:

Rithmic is faster, cleaner, better quality, and much more reliable *while using Multicharts*. And cheaper.. if that matters. CQG has been a bit of a liability *while using Multicharts* since day 1.

Multiple Strategies in one window

If you have several strategies in one window (with Allow multiple entries when generated from a new order turned on), the back-test shows performance as each entry being independent which is correct, but any exit will exit your entire window's position. While looking further, a Profit Target or Stop...

Something to get you started:

Rithmic has the most dependable connection with MC. Although, I thought that CQG's connection was upgraded in 9.0 and has been just as good ever since. All the others gave me a headache.

However, you cannot import .sef files into an earlier version of MC. ie: You cannot import MC 9.0 sef files into MC 8.8.

You have one data connection which is setup in the Quote Manager. I suggest signing in here with your live account login.

In MC, you can go to Broker Profiles and setup multiple broker accounts to trade.

Yes, Parallels upgrades look unkind to users.

How does your machine perform while doing optimizations or other compute-intensive tasks in MC? I would think that the Mac would have a difficult time keeping up as it has to simultaneously share its resources with two operating systems.

Note that TS tick data is poor quality.

If you must stick with IB as a broker (I feel bad for you), definitely use IQ Feed for your data feed. Cheaper, clean&quick, and reliable history.

Re: TS versus Interactive brokers

Questions: 1. Are you using this for back-testing data or live trading data? 2. Are you automated or discretionary? 3. Who is your broker? For Forex, always use your broker's provided data and no others. This point is ignored by most and inevitably realized by all. IB and TS are the two slowest feed...

You can copy/paste a list of them into the scanner, but if they're not already inputted into the Quote Manager, the Quote Manager doesn't update the symbol specifications(suggestion for MC). If this is the case, create a spreadsheet in excel or notepad of all symbols wanted. Quote Manager -> File ->...

The MC Point bar looks nothing like a Renko bar, but yes it is different than the TS Range bar which is a flawed bar type. Use " point original " which would be closest to the TS range bar.
