Re: QuoteManager improvement

It would be very nice add to quote manager the capability to download historical data (with backfill) without the need of open a multitude of charts. I would like this feature too...... And it would be great for this download of data to be smart about filling gaps. Try to download missing days as t...

Scripting control API

It would be very nice to control MultiCharts from some simple API (perhaps using Python like Google?). The ability to create a chart, change symbol settings, download some data, save it or export it etc. would make MC a very powerful and unique cross vendor tool. Even if this just gave access to the...

Scripting API for MC?

Is there any kind of scripting interface for MultiCharts?

i.e. could I programmatically create a chart and set the symbol settings?

A Python binding would be really dynamite.

Thanks.

MC will have detachable chart windows. THis makes copy and paste chart not needed.

That is a help but not a replacement. I still can't copy all of the display settings into another window in another workspace, I'll bet.

Ability to copy/paste charts between workspaces is critical

This item is mentioned in the feature poll but I would like to get a sense of what other people think. In using MultiCharts, I have found the single biggest productivity issue is configuring a chart window over and over again. It is true that the study parameters can be saved to a template and appli...

I used the PL editor to create a new session named "US stock with 1 hour premarket". Then I restarted MC just for good measure. Then I opened an existing workspace and symbol and expected the drop-down choices for sessions to include my new session (as indicated by the help file). The only choices w...

How to use session templates with symbols?

The help info for MC suggests that user-defined session templates should show up when viewing the symbol properties. This does not seem to be true for me. Is there a trick?

Does this mean that the "ELKit" works with MC? Is there any documentation about it or does one just do what one would do in TS?

Command line arguments for MultiCharts?

It would be *extremely* useful if the following arguments were available: To position this instance of MultiCharts in a specific location: multicharts -upperleft xpixel, ypixel -lowerright xpixel, ypixel Very useful with multiple ...

Can MultiCharts connect to a second computer that is running TS for market data? (i.e. connect to ORCAL.exe remotely?)

Please add the ability to copy/paste a chart window between (and within) workspaces. This is hands down the biggest productivity issue when trying to work with a lot of symbols. You want to have a workspace for exploring and a workspace for trading. The final chart should be copyable from workspace ...
