IQ Feed has a stable 64 bit Beta client version (Version 6.2.0.15) that is much faster than its legacy 32 bit version. Running 14.0 Release build 20935. I recently switched to ESignal as my datafeed on one computer and found to my distress that US stocks were not collecting historical pre-market (before 9:30 Eastern) or after hours (after 4:00 PM Eastern) tick or tick based data such as seconds. Re: Workspace / Desktop Not Saved with Hi Res Displ Just replaced my monitors with two 3840X2160 UHD displays for a tot
I have arranged the monitors vertically and it is not a problem then. To replicate the issue you need two UHD displays each with 3840 pixels x 2160 pixels. Then set them both up in landscape mode, side by side, so that the total desktop is 7680 pixels x 2160 pixels. With this configuration, multicha...

Re: ESignal Daily Bars in 7.4 Beta
The attached chart illustrates the problem and the fact that it is an ongoing defect. This is for the stock symbol POT, which I first loaded a chart for yesterday, and has daily bars in the top panel and hourly bars in the lower panel. There is no daily bar for yesterday as you can see. It is not se...

Re: ESignal Daily Bars in 7.4 Beta
INHX is a stock. I have not enabled collect daily data without plotting, however I have had the chart open most days. The missing day issue seems to occur most for Wednesdays and Thursdays...in other words one or the other of these days is often missing after a week of trading.

Re: ESignal Daily Bars in 7.4 Beta
No I have not changed any symbol settings or any other PC or software setup. The problem is not that easy to reproduce since you must collect data on a symbol for several days for it to appear. I have found reload may work to correct the problem after the day is over, but never intraday. Before vers...

ESignal Daily Bars in 7.4 Beta
Apparently a change was made to the treatment of Esignal daily bars in the 7.4 Beta version so that they would update more rapidly. Unfortunately the new code also seems to cause recent daily bars to be missed quite frequently when the same daily chart is reused over multiple days. For example, many...

Re: How to Lift Limitation on Bars Per Day?
I also would note that the bar cap per day, each and every day, is EXACTLY 1,000,000 bars; which indicates it is coded somewhere as an express limit. That is why I asked for the registry entry I could change to raise this cap. I need something upwards of 3,000,000.

Re: How to Lift Limitation on Bars Per Day?
It does not crash your software. In fact it runs in real time (I have very fast overclocked PCs), without dropping any bars. The issue arises when I then try to reload the chart for backtesting and analysis.

Also, use 24 hour sessions. With this symbol, default sessions may serve as a workaround and mask the underlying problem.

Re: How to Lift Limitation on Bars Per Day?
The issue is not the maximum bars per chart but the maximum bars per DAY or trading session. I already have HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TS Support\MultiCharts\Shaper\MaxBarsCount at 20,000,000; the limit of 1,000,000 bars per DAY (ie trading session) remains regardless.

How to Lift Limitation on Bars Per Day?
There appears to be a 1,000,000 bar limit on bars per trading interval (i.e. per day of trading). Some very active symbols can currently exceed this, resulting in the first part of each day being dropped from the chart when it is reloaded. What registry entry do I change to correct this?

IQ Feed does not update realtime after regular trading hours
IQ Feed does not update in real time after regular trading hours (for example after 4:00 PM eastern time for US stocks). This is an area where having a multicore PC may really help. I use <1 pixel spacing routinely and it has never presented a problem. One core handles the drawing and another the incoming data and analytics. I also have high end graphics cards (NVDA 7800GT), which may contribute.

Studies don't calculate when intraday and daily in 1 chart

Maybe it is something special about the video I am using, but I see no difference between SetPlotWidth(1,0); and SetPlotWidth(1,1); in the width of plots. I have to go to SetPlotWidth(1,2); to broaden a line, and I feel I am losing access accordingly to the intermediate thickness.

I have tried 1.9 on various PCs with 1 to 4 cores. I find the major benefit of a multicore system is encountered when more than one symbol or study is tracked at once. There is relatively little speed pickup when a single study is posted to single symbol, even for a relatively complex study.
