Well, I guess I've answered my own question. I sandwiched a Buy command between two print statements and discovered that MarketPosition is not updated until the bar closes. This is a very strange error. The data feed is IB. It only occurs for one symbol, SNDK, out of dozens. The highs and lows are set equal to the opens/closes (or vice versa).
