ASCII problem

Postby omer95 » 10 Feb 2024

Hello,
I need help in exporting data to the ASCII file from my broker's demo account.

These are the steps I do but they don't work:
1. Connects with Multichart to my interactive demo account
2. Uploads the chart in MultiChart from the data that the software pulls from Interactive.
3. FILE -> EXPORT DATA
4. Enter QuoteManager and define the new file as required.

The problem is that when I try to upload the ASCII file that I saved as a chart, for some reason the candles are not accurate to the original data. When I entered the ASCII file that I saved, everything looked fine (see attachment SPY 1 Minute -
SPY 1 Minute.txt
exported ASCII file
(592.04 KiB) Downloaded 21 times
).
The problem is caused only when I try to save an ASCII file in bars of one minute, when I save an ASCII file in bars of one day, it works fine.
see attached original chart from interactive (the one that i made from a ASCII file) -

(68.29 KiB) Not downloaded yet
see attached the chart created from the ASCII file I saved -
created chart from saved ASCII.JPG
(86.1 KiB) Not downloaded yet
thanks for your help

Hello omer95,

When mapping the file, please click it to make sure the Date column is being processed correctly. When testing on our end, I had to manually adjust the date template before it could be processed.
I attached some screenshots for reference.
