So i always thought that a tick was the smallest movement to the right of the dec point.. and Points were the smallest move to the left of the dec point..
Looking it up- (just to make sure i wasn't crazy) - here is investopedias take on it https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answer ... l%20point...... Says the same... tick right point left..
Yet when i build a renko chart with a resolution of 1 tick and a box size of 2 points.. I get a chart built with bricks that are 2 ticks in size.. Not bricks that are 2 points in size...
Am i missing something here?
Happy to show examples...
tick vs point bug ?
Re: tick vs point bug ?
Though i already know i can do it they way you showed. .. Having something so basic that is wrong-- is something that Im sure the coders would want to fix.. So i was just bringing it to their attention... Sometimes some of the most basic bugs are the ones they dont see..
But thanks for the advice..

Re: tick vs point bug ?
to educate :
ES SP MINI FUTURES
12.50 PER TICK - 4 TICKS = 1 POINT WHICH = 50.
A TICK IS THE SMALLEST TRADABLE INCREMENT
A POINT IS THE RESULTS OF THE REQUIRED TICKS TO MAKE A POINT
BUT WILL THIS EVER BE FIXED?
