Hello,
Would some kind soul please explain the difference between a function, indicator and study? With AB I never had to deal with this as it handled these things differently. Thank you.

Hi Tim,
A study is a generic term for functions, indicators, and signals.
A function is a part of the code performing a frequent operation. It is made independent so that various indicators or signals could reference it. This way, you don't have to write out this particular operation every time you need to use it.
The purpose of indicators is to plot visualizations of mathematical formulas on a chart. The plots are created based on one or more price data series.
I hope the above information clarifies the distinction a bit.
