Most prop firms offer Laser, Lightspeed, or Sterling Pro trading platforms. None of these is easily programmable to support algo / HF trading.
I would most like be forced to use one their Excel RTD/DDE implementations which would force me to essentially create a complete trading platform in VBA to emulate Multicharts ! That would be a daunting task as well as one that would require multiple instances of Excel since it is single-threaded architecture.
If one of these platforms had an API, how difficult would it be to plug that into Multicharts ?

Hello syswizard,
It depends on the API and the final goal you would like to achieve.
Please contact Stan at sbokov@multicharts.com to discuss any custom projects.

Thanks for that. One thing about my idea: If you completed it successfully, you would open up your market to the entire prop trading world....providing a potential new source of revenue. As it stands right now, professional traders would have to hire a programmer to put their strategy into code form, and then back-test it, tweak it, etc. No fun.
