3rd Party "ADD-ons"

Postby Guest » 13 Aug 2006

Why must MultiCharts have all the 3rd party add-ons included in the base version used by everyone?

These are EXTRA cost items that many will not want, and are just taking up space and resources in the program.

Does TS,foe example, include the Hundreds,if not Thousands of 'ADD-ons for their program? I think not!

Thanks :D

Some people will always find something to complain about.

Why on earth would that be bothering you? If you don't want it, then don't use it and it cost you nothing. If you don't add it to you chart, it use 0 resources. I just exported ALL studies and it was less than 3 MB. You are really concerned over the less than 3 MB disk space it use?

Using your reasoning, why should mulitcharts include ANY studies then? Not everyone use all of them and they just take resources and space. If they don't include anything, we will all save 3 MB of disk space.

TS does not list the add-ons in a separate section, while we do. The add-ons are all neatly grouped in their tab and do not consume any resources if not applied; no reason to worry here.
This integration works for the benefit of both add-on developers and users, the add-ons are not just bundled with MultiCharts, but a user management system is provided for registering and managing users.

At the release notes there is a link to Kellys Addon. Shouldn't ist be
www.roykelly.info instead of www.roykelly.com?
