MC appears to have placed 126643 .dmp files on my computer.
Can I safely delete these?

Search for all dumps and delete them; if so much dumps has accumulated, you must have some cycling error. To deal with it I suggest you send us your logs.
To send logs, in the Windows Start menu -> Run , type %USERPOFILE% and press Enter. You'll be taken to a folder with your user profile data, in it go to Local Settimgs->Application Data->TS Support->MultiCharts. There will be a Logs folder, zip it and send to us please.
