IB Datafeed in MC 6

When I try to load daily bars (or weekly, monthly, yearly), I get the message waiting for data and nothing happens even after a long period. If I switch for any intraday bars then it works. Is it a setting that I need to set?

How many bars are you trying to load?

Have you checked to see IB's data policy? ie how much history is available from them?


ps.

MultiCharts collects data in tick, minute and daily format. Any resolution above daily are built from daily data.

You can open up QuoteManager to view the log. If you see "Pace Violation" messages from IB -- that means you are requesting too much data in too short a time.
