I would have expected that if I have a chart that is current with, say, range bars, and then I add a second time fram of, - say, double the existing range, then the second time frame would add very quickly - within a minute for 30 days - as the data would already be cached.
In fact, the second timeframe takes a long, long time to add using either eSignal or IB. Adding TS data is much much quicker.
There seems either a caching problem or MC recognising that there is data cached. I work in ON DEMAND mode.
I hope that this helps to identify the various data problems that have been mentioned in a couple of the topics in the last couple of days.
Adding Second Timeframe to Chart

Could you please send a QuoteManager log of this in eSignal (so we can be sure the IB problems have nothing to do with this issue?).
I agree that in such a case there isn't much data to actually download, but the amount of requests sent will still be high, checking for every period of the new timeframe.
