Re: Price Differences eSignal to TS,CQG,DTN and more
Hello Stan, The reason for asking if the chart remains the same after reloading or if it becomes the same as the others, is that I had the same problem with another platform together with eSignal feed. I my case the eSignal charts looked exactly the same as shown in the picture by piranhaxp, but whe...

Re: Price Differences eSignal to TS,CQG,DTN and more
Piranhaxp, I think this is very interesting. I had the same experience with eSignal about eight months ago when I used it.
When you reload the eSignal chart, does it stay the same or does it become equal to the other feeds?

I see your point Siscop, but I have not found any other firewall that satisfy my needs, that is low system load and security management. My impression is that Comodo has the best firewall, so I only install this with the Defense+. For antivirus I use Avast for its low system load fast scanning perfo...

Re: When asking for minute data quote manager still loads ti
Hello Stan, I have been in contact with both MC Live Chat and IQFeed support. IQFeed told me that to have bars built on minute and daily data I had to use the Trade field with the spot FX feed. With spot FX I am used to only using the Bid field, so it came as a surprise. When choosing the trade fiel...

Re: Can't compile studies in PL Editor
With many thanks to Andrew I received a new version (153) of the MakeGCH_elapiver for MC 7 beta 4 today : ) Instructions: 1. Close all MultiCharts programs running. 2. Run Task Manager and check if the following processes have gone: Multicharts.exe, messagecenter.exe, quotemanager.exe, tsserver.exe,...

MakeGCH_elapiver_152_MCv7 does not work with MC 7 Beta 4
I would just notify that MakeGCH_elapiver_152_MCv7, which was posted two posts ago, does not work with MC 7 Beta 4. It produces the same problem as when using the MakeGCH_elapiver_256 with previous MC 7 beta versions, which is that it installs fine and PLEditor seems to compile custom studies fine, ...

When asking for minute data quote manager still loads tick
I have unchecked/turned off the IQFeed option to "Build minute and daily bars based on tick data" to build minute bars on minute data. After unchecking I closed both Quote Manager and MultiCharts then restarting after a minute or so to let all files close. The problem is that it still insists on bui...

Re: Download of 120 days of tick data from IQFeed not possib
You are welcome asyx. Another thing is that the first time I connected I had an issue when I started the IQFeed client before MC, but when I started MC first where it called the IQFeed client it worked as it should. Something I also walked through with IQFeed support. Maybe a one time incident, but ...

Re: Download of 120 days of tick data from IQFeed not possib
I have actually received more than 120 days of tick data with MC 7 b3. If you have not done it, you should add instruments manually. It does not work properly when using the "lookup". Choose Add symbol Manually. Then (as you know) IQFeed -> ex. @ES# -> Futures -> CME (NOT GLOBEX. It will figure that...

Re: Can't compile studies in PL Editor
Sorry. I take back what I wrote in previous post. Andrew was kind to have a new "MakeGCH_elapiver" made for MC 7, so now PL Editor works as it should when you have Comodo Internet Security suite installed. I have attached the file I received from Andrew today. These are the instructions: 1. Close al...

Re: Good routines on recording and exporting data from the C
Thank you Stan.
My last question for now I think. To merge recorded data with live data on a chart, do I only have to choose "Import Data" and then it will automatically add/merge this to the live instrument?
Thank you.

Re: Good routines on recording and exporting data from the C
Thank you very much for your thorough answer Stan. When exporting data one can for example choose either Bid or Ask. Open Positions does not show in charts
In "Format Chart Trading" the "Show Open Positions" is selected, but no position lines are showing when positions are open. I have tried with Market Orders and a Stop order with break even and stop loss strategy to automatically attach to orders. I use the MCFX data feed and a FXCM demo account. Tha...

Re: How does MC handle already downloaded data for charts
Thank you Dave. If I understand you right, or, does this also mean that every time I just change time frame on the same chart MC will check for gaps in the historical data for the time period requested? How does MC handle already downloaded data for charts
Hello, When setting up a second chart with the same instrument and same time frame I see that MC are using some time to get the data up in the chart window.
