Hi Henry,
I tried manually and it worked. The symbol is indeed available in TS.
Thanks

VXX iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term [SOLVED]
Good morning, The iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term ETN stopped trading on January 29th 2019. The symbol in TS of this ETN is VXX!. I am trying to add the symbol in quote manager (Intrument/Add symbol/From data source) but the symbol doesn't exist. Can you please tell me how can I add this symbol in my q...

Re: Stop loss calculated vs broker fill or chart entry price [SOLVED]
Anna, I don't understand your answer. Let me explain, in detail, what happened to me the other day: I have a strategy in AA automation mode on the mini FDAX future. A buy order triggered and was registered in the chart at 12190 but I was filled by my broker (Interactive Brokers) at 12193, so there w...

Re: Stop loss calculated vs broker fill or chart entry price [SOLVED]
Anna, I use the following command in a strategy in AA mode and the stop loss is calculated vs the real fill at the broker: Setstopcontract; Setstoploss (50 * bigpointvalue); Was the stop loss calculated vs realtime because I use the setstoploss command and then it is a special order? What can I do t...

Stop loss calculated vs broker fill or chart entry price [SOLVED]
Good morning, I trade in AA mode and I thought the stop loss of my strategies were calculated vs the price seen in the chart, not vs the real entry fills at the broker. Can you please confirm whether stop loss orders are always calculated vs price in the chart or vs real entry fills? Is there a way ...

Re: SetBreakEven worked in MC but didn't send order to Broker
Post #5 says that the problem may have been caused by placing global exits inside a condition. I use setstoploss and setprofit targets inside conditions with other strategies and I haven't had any problems in the past. This is the first time, though, that I use setbreakeven in addition to the other ...

Re: SetBreakEven worked in MC but didn't send order to Broker
Inputs MyStop, MyBreakEven and MyProfit are all >0. The SL worked (sent instruction to broker) but not the BE. At the very end of the strategy code, I have the SL, BE and PT instructions. setstopcontract; If MyStop > 0 then setstoploss(MyStop*bigpointvalue); If MyBreakEven > 0 then setbreakeven(MyBr...

SetBreakEven worked in MC but didn't send order to Broker
I have a strategy on Gold futures that uses SetBreakEven and SetStopLoss. The SetBreakEven worked in the MC chart where I have the strategy but MC didn't send the BE stop loss order to the broker. Hoewever, I did get stopped out at a loss when the SetStopLoss order triggered. The result is that I ha...

Re: Automated strategy discrepancy
Thanks Henry. I have had another issue with an automated strategy that I am running in Asyncronous mode out of an MC chart. The strategy (instrument: 6BM6) recorded a trade overnight in the chart but the trade wasn't sent to my paper brokerage account. Another strategy (instrument 6NM6) in a differe...

Automated strategy discrepancy
Good morning, I have a strategy on RB futures (NYMEX) running from Portfolio Trader, sending orders to my IB paper account, and I have the same strategy running from an MC chart (so I can see trigger levels, etc). The settings of the the instrument are the same (in PT and the MC chart) and the data ...

Re: Discrepancy Opening price IB vs MC charts
Henry, In QuoteManager go to Tools tab->Data sources ->IB->Settings. "Regular Trading Hours" option was enabled. I disabled it, and now, I get the same opening in the IB charts and the MC chart. So it worked! However, I don't understand why this change made it work when FDAX June16 is an electronica...

Re: Discrepancy Opening price IB vs MC charts
LRP, I am sorry I didn't see the last part of your message when I replied to it. I have changed the session settings as you suggested and it didn't work. I have also used a custom session for the IB data feed from 8am to 10pm. This is the same session that I have with the TS data feed, which is givi...

Re: Discrepancy Opening price IB vs MC charts
LRP,
I am not calculating the difference between yesterday's close and today's open. I am just looking at today's open. I don't understand why the open shown in IB charts and MC charts is different if the data feed is the same.

Discrepancy Opening price IB vs MC charts
Good morning, I have a data feed from IB to see MC charts. Acording to IB charts, today, the opening price of FDAX June16 futures was 10060.5. According to MC charts fed from IB data, the opening was 10094.5. Could you please tell me why there was such a discrepancy? It has created a larger loss tha...
