Yes, that's my fallback scenario.
I hoped anyway that someone knows a setting or something that helps to keep using the pit session templates.

Re: Need help on live trading vs. backtest (DATA1/DATA2)
Hi TJ,
thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately I have kind of the opposite problem. I want my system to autotrade according to my DATA1 session template which is 24/5. But the trades are not executed during hours which are not part of the DATA2 session template.

Need help on live trading vs. backtest (DATA1/DATA2)
Dear trader colleagues, I hope that someone can help me with tips on how to solve the following issue. Assume I have a strategy with the following data: DATA1: Session template from 0:00 to 23:59 (e.g. 1min bars) DATA2: Session template from 8:30 to 15:00 (e.g. 1day bars) Entries that occur e.g. at ...

TWS stopped working: IB-Multicharts issue
Hi all, I use Multicharts Portfolio trader (version 10.0.13625.400) and Interactive Brokers TWS (Build 966.1a) in order to run automated strategies while I'm at work. Using TeamViewer I occasionally check the situation on my home PC. Typically the strategies trigger between 2 and 8 trades per day. M...

Re: Problem with input parameter of type true/false [SOLVED]
Hi ABC,
thanks for your comment.
Yes, I guess if there's no other solution I will convert everything from true/false to 1/0.

Problem with input parameter of type true/false [SOLVED]
Hi all, I use boolean input parameters to control stop loss or profit target. For example for stop loss: - UseStopLoss (true/false) - StopLossAmount (value in USD) In optimization a stop is only used if UseStopLoss = true. My problem is that: Assume the current setting is UseStopLoss = true and Stop...

Re: Walk Forward Analysis - what parameters to use?
Hi Mazinguer, thanks for your reply. If I read your statements correctly you are saying that a good system performs very well in OOS periods. The OOS results should be exceptionally good BECAUSE they are based on recent optimization (the IS) and not being only quite good DESPITE recent optimization....

Walk Forward Analysis - what parameters to use?
Hello, I want to pick up a topic that has been raised already before but I still don’t know how to handle it. It is the interpretation and use of Walk-Forward-Results. I’d like to discuss that using an example. For simplicity reasons let’s use a system with only 1 parameter, the ATR length and full ...
