Re: How to delete data in Quote manager in Ver14?
Hi Chris In the old version MC 12 there was no refresh of historical data download scheduler. Without deleting the complete data I was not sure new data would be reloaded? The only way to completely reload data without increasing the database file size indefinitely was to build database from scratch...

Re: How to delete data in Quote manager in Ver14?
Hi Jupp25 The reason to shrink is simple first to get rid of expired futures data. If continuous future contract data such as from TS is used, there will be price adjustment after certain time , therefore I need to delete whole database and reload again periodically to create consistent database for...

How to delete data in Quote manager in Ver14?
As title, how to correctly delete data of the preset symbols for a complete reload of the database in Ver 14? In the older version deleting historical data in QuoteManager will not shrink the file size of TSStorage.GDB (currently 6.2GB). After searching the forum lead to an old thread back to 2011 w...

Re: MultiCharts 14.0 Release
In MC 12 it is possible to run a second MC on different PC for offline backtesting mode with the same license by changing the proxy setting. For MC 14 how could I do this as I could not find the proxy setting by clicking the green box and the Rt lower corner of the screen? I would like to test MC 14...

Incoherent walk forward optimization results
For the same criteria (same signal, data setting and optimization parameter in the same workspace), walk forward optimization could produce different results in term of IS and OSS duration and subsequently different optimized parameters for the same symbol with different length of data. For example ...

This is the screenshot of the error message when I tried to compile the blank script for testing purpose. Actually not much information to show.

Re: Compile error line 0, column 0 , How to solve it?
Rebooted my PC this morning and open Powerlanguage editor the problem was gone. I just don't know how it worked.
It seems the main problem with "Compile error line 0, column 0" error is no exact explanation for it to occur. When the error is gone we did not even know how it was solved.

Compile error line 0, column 0 , How to solve it?
"Compile error line 0, column 0" occurred again in Powerlanguage editor, MultiCharts64 Version 12.0 Release (Build 18184). The weird thing is for the very same code, it could be compiled successfully on one PC, but not on another PC with same and latest version MC. Only license number and user ID di...

Re: Same Strategy to same symbols but incorrect position size in portfolio trader [SOLVED]
The attached files show the Porfolio trader screen capture. The Autotrader paper account is the Portfolio trader account and the Trendcatcher is the chart auto trading account. For the same signal settings, the entry position size of symbol GCEG19 for Chart auto trader was 3 which was specified by t...

Re: Same Strategy to same symbols but incorrect position size in portfolio trader [SOLVED]
Happy New Year TJ! The strategy included 3 scripts. For the entry signal script, [IntrabarOrderGeneration = false] was used . Though one of the exit signal from a separate script used IOG=true. And to make sure the strategy could continue with the open positions from previous session after restartin...

Re: historical data in quotemanager that disappear
I think backup also require closing all MC programs including quotemanager. This may interrupt the real time data collections by quote manager.

Re: historical data in quotemanager that disappear
Is there any way to auto save the downloaded real time data in Quotemanager without shutting down MC 64x ? I ask so because whenever the system crash and MC is not shut down correctly real time data collected in the recent session will be lost.
