I just checked this functionality on the latest beta and it is exactly the same as it was. I hope this will be fixed for Gold as it can be considered core functionality.
Thanks,
Simon

RE: Redraw chart on right click
Thinking I better get in any last feature requests begore MC Gold release!
Guys, please can you put a redraw chart option on the right click menu of a chart - as this would seem to me to be the most logical place for it.
Thanks,
Simon

I was wondering, with respect to the 'removing study from workspace after upgrades' issue, whether maybe the most appropriate solution would be for the upgrade to keep the studies (and their settings) attached to the chart - but to mark them as deactivated due to needing a recompile - in the format ...

I have checked this issue more thoroughly. 1. First off, I did have one occasion when 'reset price scale' functioned as it should - and the thing that was noticeable about that time - was that the symbol being plotted was at position 1 on the menu choice that appears with a 'right click' of the pric...

Pretty please - feature request...
Dear MC, Essentially, this is a feature request about a relatively superficial MC issue, and more to do with perfecting it than anything else. Though I would like to add that, nearly every trading day, I think to myself -- I wish MC had a text label snap to grid system. I say this because I like to ...

Autotrendlines applied to an indicator as opposed to price..
Hey guys,
I am wondering if there is anyway that I can get the auto-trendlines feature to plot on a sub-chart study, rather than on price itself.
Thanks,
Simon

Hi TJ, That is a good hypothesis - that the issue might be caused because the actual candlesticks are not being plotted as the foreground indicator... However, after setting the price plot to: 'visual order > bring to front', the same green MA functionality happens. I'm wanting to explain, that it's...

Barchart.com
Please can you look at incorporating an interface to barchart.com. Their prices are excellent.
e.g.
1) complete all in cost for emini package *** $45.00 for 100 symbol limit plus $26.00 CME emini data feed
2) forex pairs **** $10.00
Thanks,
Simon

I am attaching a workspace file which demonstrates the issue. Unless you have IQfeed, you will need to set the symbol value. 1. I am moving/dragging the right hand scale to alter the Y-axis zoom factor. 2. All studies remain scaled to each other as they move. 3. Now I choose Format>Reset Price scale...

Reset Price Scale
1. When I first open MC and the chart loads - essential the chart self-scales as I move across time using the horizontal scroll bar - and across all time - all price is visible. 2. If I then alter the Y scaling (to zoom in on a particular part) and/or shift the chart up or down using the cursor keys...

RE: Upgrade and stopping plotting studies
Guys, yes, I will be backing up workspaces from now on... Thank you! Still, I think it might be more user friendly if the upgrade worked round the issue and also made an extra backup of last opened workspaces. RE: MC stopping plotting studies. Uncompiled indicators removed after installing new beta
One other thing about installing new betas. Because it tends to happen that after install, MC opens up the previously open charts - without the custom indicators being recompiled - it is really easy to lose a workspace - because indicators included in a workspace - that are not compiled - are seemin...

Just a small detail - on the study ATR, I get a nine decimal point reading on the right hand scale. I can't see how to reduce this to say 2 decimal points as on other indicators/scales.

At present, what is plotting using wullenweber's code (using HighD & LowD), seems to actually be yesterdays high & low of the whole 24 hour period. I am taking it that this is useful to have on charts, though I am after the actual open & close price as well. With respect to the time periods - even i...

I know I raised it earlier - and I'm feeling a bit concerned that repeating it might seem a bit of a bother -- however, in terms of documenting what I am trading everyday - it would be most useful to be able to take screenshots featuring the crosshairs on a price chart/s. Bollenger Bands with exponential moving average mid line
I was wondering if the Bollenger Band plot is based on an exponential moving average or a simple moving average. The mid line seems to plot on a simple moving average, by comparisson - but what about the actual bands - are they based on an ema or sma? Or is it that BB's are always based on an ema, b...

I was thinking earlier, that this discussion, for me, really brings to mind that the real usefullness of MC, for myself, is, in part, in the long term, ultimately going to be dependant on the available datafeeds. In this respect, I hope for us European users, that you will look around to see what ot...

One extra addition. When importing an ascii file, on this computer at least, the options for the settings for each individual data column are not appearing correctly in that they are not visible until the mouse is rolled over them. Please see attachment.
