Can anybody tell me how I set my charts so that the scale on the grain charts (Soybeans etc). shows 1 tick as 1/4 , not as 1/8 (which they do not trade in)?
Seems my charts are set up wrong. I use Volume bars, if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Hi vienna, May I ask you why you think that large databases can be easily corrupted? Thank you for clarifications. :-) Please....I have now had long and varied experiences with databases and Multicharts.... that seems to be the one achilles heel of the program. Are you saying no such problems exist...

Sync of databases
Hi,
since the long term databases seem easy to corrupt, I do not want to transfer/ update them from one computer to another. Perhaps a naive question: is there a way of using a program such as Dropbox to automatically sync them (I use that program to keep other files on 2 computers updated)?
Thanks.

I don't know if these make a difference... how much data do you load? bars back? days back? how many symbols? how much RAM, before, and after all the charts are loaded? what is the peak memory and what is the physical memory? I read the other thread that your system load slow. These questions might...

MC STILL creates Data Holes in swing charts
Ok, so I got a new, uncorrupted data base, since the problem was due "to a corrupted data base" , according to you guys. I always wait until MC finishes all his processes before shutting down the computer. So everything is fine, right? Wrong . I open a chart which looked fine the last time opened, a...

Hi guys, I am not sure you are all talking about the same thing. Or are you talking about charts taking a long time to backfill when you bring up your workspaces? ...

I need someone, who- for a fee- can straighten out the exchange settings for my database. I use esignal and have 200 symbols or so... want to be sure that opening times, multipliers etc. are all set correctly. Please let me know, thanks.

I would be careful with calling Bill Schamp (your client) "incompetent", since he is not a software programmer. By fractals I mean Different Volume bar increments, one a fractal of the other. e.g. Data 1 is 2400 Volume bars, data 2 340. If you use 2 timeframes (fractals), and make one of them invisible (Data 2), you can only see the bars of Data 1, obviously. If you plot fixed Volume bar charts, going back several months (Swing charts) with an esignal data feed, Multicharts plots charts that sometimes are OK and sometimes have holes like a swiss cheese... missing weeks of data. How to increase Max. Bars MC can load
I am using a custom downloader for MC based on excel that downloads ticks for me from esignal into MC.
But on several markets it stopped at 999,999 ticks... there is some way to increase the max bars MC can load, I was told.
How do I do this?
Thanks.

It would be extremely useful to have the horizontal line tool snap to the grid of the chart as an option: - If 1 tick of the market is 0.25, it would be ideal to have the line move/ snap to a grid of 1 tick increments... why on earth would one EVER need a horizontal line which is at 1346.9378 for th...

MC creating gaps in Volume bar charts? Big problem!!
This is a MAJOR problem: MC creates gaps in the data from an esignal feed. I am using Volume bar charts, and MC seems to do it in a random fashion.
