Re: Constructing custom future
Please add the symbols from the data source.
In QuoteManager please go to Instrument tab->Add symbol->From data source-> IB->Futures->CAC40->Lookup.
In order to create a custom futures please add CAC40 symbol root into the IB Symbol Dictionary:Adding symbol roots to the dictionary

Re: Constructing custom future
Hello Henry
I added cac40 symbol root on IB Symbol Dictionary and it works well.
So I plotted a cac 40 chart with the symbol CAC40_11VOC^FGHJKMNQUVXZ
because on quote manager I selected all contract to use.
Is that mean that the rolling will know by automated?
When I plotted this symbol on the chart window I have this message:
"To construct custom future please add the following:
J contract for cac40 root for 2014"
Where can I add the J contract?
I want to construct a custom future on the cac40 with ASCII data prior to actual contract
is it possible?
Thanks

QuoteManager > Instrument > Add Symbol > From Data Source::
When I plotted this symbol on the chart window I have this message:

Where can I add the J contract?

Re: Constructing custom future
You can create the old contracts, then import the ascii into them.::
