TS GCM16 is Gold contract which is GCM6 in IB.
You can't trade from GCM16 to MGCM6 due to different instrument parameters.

Re: Symbol Mapping MGC with IB
Hello MC support,
I came across this Post because I was finding a way to trade the minidax FDXM but using the chart of the big FDAX. As I've understood it is not possible just with the symbol mapping.
Usually I create the strategy for the DAX and then I " convert " it for the miniDAX using FXDM as DATA1 and FDAX as data2 ... this because I can only apply strategies to the DATA1 chart..... but when I have a strategy with hundreds of code lines it's really tricky to place "of data2" after almost every O , H, L , C and functions....
Wouldn't it be EASIER for all to implement a way to buy also an instrument in DATA2 or DATA3 or whatever??? Suppose I have the FDAX in the DATA1 chart and all the strategy coded for it and then I have FDXM on data 2, then woudn't be Awesome to just use something like "buy 1 contract of data2" to buy FDXM???
Many of the biggest futures has a MINI and also a MICRO contract available so this would be something that a wide range of people will appreciate.
What do you think?
Best Regards,
David

Hello David,
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately this is not something that is possible with PowerLanguage within the current architecture.
You may consider using "unmanaged orders approach" in MultiCharts .NET for this purpose:
