I'm testing tradig systems with MC since more then 3 years now. All this time I was very confused about why some report figures which are the results of dividing two of figures are shown in red. It would be very nice to see an explanation why these figures are shown in red.
I attached a screenshot.
Any explanation is appreciated. Thank you.
Regards.

Re: Understanding of StrategyPerformanceReport
Hi,
figures in red are negatives = loss
in black = positiv = profit
figures in red are negatives = loss
in black = positiv = profit

Random,
thx for your response, but honestly and with all respect let me ask you one serious question.
Why necessarely you need to color a result which is effected by a calculation of a number dividided by a negative number? Any results of multiplication or division between one positiv number and a negative number is negative. But to color a positive "NetProfit" with "LargestLoss" in red is missleading. You don't need to color these numbers, because the result spokes for it's self. Then lower the result with positive "NetProfits" then more inefficient the system. If you would color it in red with a negative result in "NetProfit" I would be fine. But like this ? No ! Sorry but it's "bullsh....".
My proposal is to color it like :
1. positive Netprofit/LargestLos or others related to my screenshot = blue/black
2. negative Netprofit/LargestLoss ............................................. = red
Hope everyone understand what I'm saying or talking about.
Regards.
