Hello,
since yesterday I started trading through a broker using Trading Technology.
Today I placed 2 orders. The problem is that the PnL and the entry price displayed in DOM and on chart are totally wrong (see attached sreenshot), whereas the chart trading arrow is correct.
(in the real trade exemple attahced, the real entry price was short at 11300 and not 11367)
I don't know if there is a link with the fact that in the Order and position traker , Accounts tab, I cannot see nor Balance / Equity / PnL (I've got "n/a" instead).
Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards.
Pascal

Re: TT link : wrong PnL
Hello Pascal.
Unfortunately Balance, Equity and PnL are not provided by Trading Technologies API, that is why this information is unavailable in the Order and position traker, Accounts tab.
The marker on the chart shows the Average entry price received from the TT broker.
There are two options for calculation of this price (File->Broker profiles->Manage->TT->Edit->Trading accounts).
This price should correspond to the price in the X-trader TT software.
Please make a comparison of Multicharts and X-trader and attach the screenshots for further investigation.

Re: TT link : wrong PnL
One last question n this topic please :
is TT API provided by TT or developped by MC ?
If it is the latest, it would be great to improve it...
Is there the same problem with the Kinetic feed ?
Many thanks in advance,
Pascal

Re: TT link : wrong PnL
Hello Pascal.
Multicharts supports the latest version of TT fix adapter which is developed by the Trading Techonologies.
For performance reasons, TT FIX Adapter calculates realized P&L and the average open price using an averaging algorithm.
As far as we are concerned TT has no current plans to change the current logic.
Please contact TT directly if you want this behaviour to be changed.
Regarding your second question: Kinetic is IQFeed's white labelling for NT.
It is not supported by MultiCharts. You can use IQFeed as the data feed.

Hello -
I entered a position directly with the broker, then offset the position using MC (through Trading Technologies). MC did not see the position at the broker and so is now showing an incorrect position. How can I reset this?

Is this the behavior you have demonstrated in the live chat yesterday?

Re: TT link : wrong PnL
Hi Henry -
No, in that case TT would not register a position at all, or accept orders. I shut down/restarted MC and then exited a position leaving me with an inaccurate position. It appears to have reset as of today, but it would be nice if TT communicated better with MC.
Thanks
